Community Midwives
The midwives deal with all aspects of pregnancy for our patients. When you find out that you are newly pregnant please phone the midwives on 01698 754541. You can also pick up a midwife pack from the surgery.
Community Nurses
Our Community Nurses (previously known as District Nurses) are based at Bellshill Health Centre for our North Lanarkshire Patients and at Blantyre Health Centre for our South Lanarkshire patients.
The Community Nurses see patients in their own homes who are housebound.
Health Visitors
Our Health Visitor for South Lanarkshire patients is Patricia Docherty (01698 755111 ). Health Visitors are registered nurses who have received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social well-being.
